Bachelorette Party Ideas

There is nothing more exciting in a young girl’s life then the fact that she will soon be married. Her family, friends and the groom are equally excited as this is something that happens rarely in a person’s life. As the date for the wedding approaches, friends usually get together to give the bride-to-be a party. When planning they start looking around for Bachelorette party ideas.

Many times the event will depend on a number of things that need to be considered. Is the bride a fairly religious person or someone who is life-of-the-party? Does she like ordinary things or things that are fancy? Some things that would go over great at one type of celebration would fall flat at another. Therefore, there are certain items that need to be considered when planning this type of gathering. These might be

  • Amount in the budget, how much is available to spend
  • Should the party be held in a rented hall, a restaurant or a home
  • How many should be invited
  • What kind of decorations
  • Are there going to be snacks or a full meal
  • Will it be casual or dress up
  • Should someone be hired to do the serving and pickup
  • What kind of entertainment (i. E. Live entertainers, DJ, or disc music)
  • Should drinks be served (i. E. What is the bride’s preference)

This kind of a party should include friends of the bride and, usually her mother. It is always a good idea to have several friends help plan the party as they all have ideas that can be helpful. In addition, they are a great help in decorating, cleaning up and helping during the event.

This kind of an occasion can be large or small and, again, this usually depends on the size of one’s budget. Having cake and snacks is much less expensive than a full, sit down meal. Many people have the event in their own home and avoid the cost of renting a hall or reserving space in a restaurant.

The home can be colorfully decorated with the wedding theme, which will give the entire affair a festive air. When deciding how many people to invite that should be decided depending on the size of the location and, again, the type of refreshments to be served. If it is summer time a beautiful celebration can be held in the backyard if space and landscaping permit.

Soft, background disc music gives a festive air to the occasion and is much less expensive than a DJ. As far as live entertainment, this is one place that it would not hurt to spend a little money. Someone like an imitation Chippendale person might not go over very well if it is offensive to anyone present. If the bride is an open minded person this might be the topper for the entire event.

A lot of liquor is not a good idea at this kind of affair. It ends up with everyone who partakes, including the bride-go-be, feeling miserable the next day. That would not go down very well in her memory book. There are many Bachelorette party ideas available on the Internet that might be helpful regarding decorations and things to make the occasion an affair to remember and they are easy to locate.
